On September 27, authorization was announced for a new public competition aimed at filling 450 positions in various areas of the public service. The Minister of Management, Innovations, and Public Service Esther Dweck approved the selection process, according to what was published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU). Salaries can reach an impressive R$ 10,000, and opportunities are aimed at candidates with a higher education degree.

Job Openings in the New Competition

The public competition encompasses a total of 450 positions, distributed across critical roles for public administration. Among the opportunities, there are highlights for administrator (154 positions), technical-administrative analyst (90), accountant (47), economist (35), educational affairs technician (20), engineer (18), psychologist (10), social communication technician (9), statistician (7), architect (5), doctor (3), and archivist (2).

Interested candidates in participating in this new public competition should pay attention to the established deadlines. According to the ordinance, the announcement of the competition will be released within six months from the date of authorization. The examination will take place two months after the announcement, which will contain detailed information about the deadlines and regulations of the selection process.

The General Administration of the Union (AGU) reaffirmed its commitment to strictly adhere to policies of reserving positions for this category of selection. This initiative aims to ensure equal opportunities for all candidates, regardless of their origin or social status.

Demand for the Public Competition

The authorization for the new public competition aligns with a request from the institution to the ministry in May. The request included a note demonstrating a significant deficit of personnel in the AGU, with a total of 2,300 open positions. Of these, 2,100 are directed to technical-administrative analysts, while 200 are allocated for information technology analysts.

Currently, the AGU’s staffing reveals a discrepancy, as there are only 1,272 administrative staff in permanent positions. The other professionals are organized among 73 in commissioned positions, 93 hired temporarily, and 3,068 requested by other agencies.
