The New Pickup Is Coming To Take Down The Fiat Toro And Redefine The Compact Pickup Market. We Will Tell You Everything About The News That Nissan And Renault Are Bringing And How This Will Impact Your Choices When It’s Time To Change Cars.

Nissan’s new pickup promises innovations that will shake up the market, directly competing with the Fiat Toro. Manufactured in Argentina and equipped with cutting-edge technology, this launch is ready to change the game in the compact pickup segment.

Renault has already unveiled its new compact pickup concept, which will replace the Oroch and promises to be a direct competitor to the Fiat Toro. And that’s not all! Nissan has confirmed that it is also developing its own new compact pickup, based on the same platform, but with an extra touch of sophistication and refinement. That’s right, the competition is getting interesting!

The New Pickup: Key Details That Make a Difference

Ricardo Flamini, president of Nissan Argentina, revealed at the end of last year that the Japanese company is developing its new compact pickup. Produced in Argentina, it not only avoids import taxes for us Brazilians, but also promises to compete directly with the Toro in various aspects.

Capacity And Design

Nissan’s new pickup will be about 5 meters long, with a 3-meter wheelbase, 1.85 meters wide, and 1.70 meters high. Nicknamed “half a ton”, the pickup can carry up to 500 kg in the bed, similar to its rivals.

Inspired by the look of the Kicks, the pickup will feature a Black Piano front grille, full LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, and taillights connected by a Black Piano strip.

Technology And Engine

Built on the CMF-B platform, which also supports the new Kicks 2025. Nissan’s new pickup will come with a hybrid engine based on the 1.5 Turbo block, offering 204 horsepower and a torque of 33.6 kgf·m. This system, known as e-POWER, does not need to be plugged in and promises an astonishing consumption of up to 21 km/l in the city.

Interior And Comfort

Nissan’s new pickup will feature items such as electrically adjustable seats, remote start, premium Bose sound system, digital climate control, sunroof, and a 12-inch multimedia screen with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Advanced systems like collision warning with autonomous braking, cross-traffic alert, sign reading, and adaptive cruise control will be included.

The New Pickup From Renault

The new Renault pickup

While Nissan prepares its launch, Renault is not falling behind with its Niagara. Also based on the CMF-B platform, Renault’s new pickup promises to compete with both the Montana and the simpler versions of the Toro. The Niagara concept has already made it clear that the new Renault pickup will be robust and full of features.

The new pickups from Nissan and Renault are about to revolutionize the market for compact pickups. With launches scheduled for 2025, both Nissan’s new pickup and Renault’s promise a lot of technology, comfort, and performance, challenging the reign of the Fiat Toro.
