Decree Allows Civil Construction in Macaé and Resumption of Administrative Activities in Schools
The mayor of Macaé (RJ), Dr. Aluísio, signed a decree that authorizes the resumption of civil construction between 8 AM and 4 PM, and administrative and pedagogical activities between 10 AM and 4 PM, in public and private educational institutions, provided they do not cause crowding. Activities had been prohibited since March when the new coronavirus pandemic began. Macaé has been gradually reopening economic activities in accordance with the reduction of cases and deaths from the disease.

Civil Construction and Authorized Pedagogical Activities in Macaé
Previously, decree 169/2020 prohibited civil construction activities in Macaé indefinitely, but on Friday, the regional mayor authorized both civil construction activities and schools and labor activities.
The new operating hours for school activities in Macaé should start at 8 AM and end by 4 PM. In civil construction, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The mayor emphasizes the importance of not causing crowding in public places.

Companies in the civil construction sector and the public and private educational institutions mentioned in decree 169/2020 will be inspected throughout the week by the Special Coordination of Postures and the Special Coordination of Sanitary Surveillance, which will issue reports certifying that all partners, owners, employees, servers, workers, and collaborators of the company or workplace (construction site) have been duly tested for Covid-19, presenting negative results (non-reactive).
Testing
Companies in the civil construction sector and the public and private educational institutions mentioned in decree 169/2020 may only resume their activities after testing all their partners, owners, employees, servers, workers, and collaborators for Covid-19, with a non-reactive or negative result, which will be kept in the employee’s functional file for potential verification and inspection by public authorities.
