New ‘Cheap’ Honda Motorcycle Hits Neighboring Market Priced Under R$ 9 Thousand (Direct Conversion and Without Tax Application) and May Come to Brazil. This is the Honda CB100.
The new Honda CB100 is already a big success in the Colombian market, which is not surprising given that it is an affordable motorcycle that is highly sought after by professionals. For example, the Honda CB 100 has become an essential choice for motorcycle taxi drivers and app delivery riders. Due to these characteristics, the motorcycle has quickly gained widespread consumer acceptance. The new Honda motorcycle has already been registered in Brazil, but the Japanese company has not commented on the matter through its official channels.
New Cheap Honda Motorcycle Hits Colombian Market. Could Brazil Be Next?
In the Colombian market, the new Honda motorcycle is already on sale for a fair price. It currently costs 6,100,000 Colombian pesos, which, in direct conversion to our currency, amounts to around R$ 8,100. The portal Motoonline states that the model achieves 75 km per liter.
Disregarding fees and taxes, the model would prove to be highly competitive in the national market. Therefore, there are expectations that Honda’s new ‘cheap’ motorcycle will also achieve good sales in Brazil, following the success of other models from the Japanese brand.

It is important to highlight that the new economical motorcycle from Honda, which is already available in the neighboring country, has very similar characteristics to the vehicle produced in India, the Shine 100. The version launched here has a 6.9 horsepower engine, while the Indian model has a bit more, around 7.3 hp.
These small differences, however, do not significantly impact performance. The fact is that Honda’s new economical motorcycle is already gaining popularity in South America.
New ‘Cheap’ Motorcycle Features Reduced Size
The reduced size of the new Honda catches attention, as the Honda CB100 measures 1,955 millimeters in length, 1,050 millimeters in width, and 754 millimeters in height. Thus, it would be an ideal motorcycle for the intense and troubled traffic of the country’s major cities.
In fact, it is currently very common for people to switch from cars to motorcycles in Brazil. Thus, the arrival of this new ‘cheap’ motorcycle would be something highly advantageous here. However, the technological simplicity of the new Honda CB100 in Colombia also draws attention. This is because, among other things, it features an analog dashboard, reminiscent of the old days.
Currently, a large portion of the models sold, even the simpler ones, come with a digital dashboard. This simpler feature also ensures a lower price in the Colombian market.
Should the Honda CB100 reach the Brazilian market in the coming months, it is still unknown whether it will be able to maintain the same competitive price as the neighboring market. Additionally, it is unclear if it will keep the analog dashboard here.
Honda Updates Its Portfolio with Economical Motorcycles and Affordable Prices
In addition to the Honda CB 100, the new Honda Grom 125 2024 was officially introduced to the Japanese market in March of this year. Featuring fun riding and fuel-efficient performance, the new ‘cheap’ motorcycle follows the updates that were recently presented in Thailand.
The new economical Honda motorcycle has become sportier with certain changes in the design of the fairings, LED headlight, and a spoiler below the engine.
The price of the new economical ‘cheap’ Honda motorcycle is 390,500 yen, equivalent to R$ 13 thousand in direct conversion. Also called MSX125, the model resembles a modern Monkey, continuing the brand’s tradition of compact models. Regarding the sale of the new economical motorcycle in the national market, there is no data indicating this intention from Honda yet.
