The Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) announces the opening of 500 spots for a free online specialization course (EAD) in Special Education and Technological Innovation. The initiative aims to train educators and professionals in the field to address the challenges of educational inclusion, a topic of increasing importance in the Brazilian context.
The course aims to prepare teachers and specialists to promote accessibility and inclusion in Basic Education, training them to use innovative technologies in special education.
Updated Format and Content
The specialization will be structured in a hybrid format, with asynchronous classes and synchronous meetings, allowing flexibility for participants. Live meetings will occur on Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM, making it easier to balance with work routines. If in-person meetings are necessary, attendance will not be mandatory, ensuring a 100% online modality (EAD).

Requirements
The free online specialization course (EAD) is aimed exclusively at professionals with a degree recognized by the MEC, with specific requirements for enrollment. Candidates can be Basic Education teachers from the municipal networks of Rio de Janeiro, professionals from the State Department of Education of Rio de Janeiro working with inclusive education, and members of Accessibility and Inclusion Centers in public institutions in the state.

The selection process will follow a strict schedule, with enrollment from February 25 to March 10, 2025, registration approval on March 11, results announcement on March 17, and the start of classes on March 27, 2025.
