The Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Roraima (IFRR) has opened 200 slots in the free and online Initial and Continuing Education Course in Basic Spanish EAD. Of these slots in the Spanish course, 100 will be aimed at candidates residing in the municipalities of Boa Vista and Pacaraima (teaching hubs accredited by UAB/CAPES) and 100 for the entire state of Roraima.

The Basic Spanish course at the Federal Institute aims to train public servants and the general community for effective use of the Spanish language in real communication situations by mastering basic linguistic and cultural elements.
The free online language course will last six months and will have a workload of 160 hours, with 80% of the workload being distance learning, and the remaining 20% through in-person meetings. In addition to the in-person moments, the Basic Spanish EAD course includes synchronous activities (videoconferences) and asynchronous activities (Virtual Learning Environment) with support from the Tutor teacher.

At the end of the basic Spanish course, the student who completes the course and achieves a minimum attendance of 75% of the total course workload, along with a minimum performance of 60% in the curricular components, will receive the Professional Qualification Certificate in Basic Spanish and will be able to communicate at a beginner level in the Spanish language, using basic structures and vocabulary.
Registrations For The Basic Spanish EAD Course
Registrations for the Spanish course at the Federal Institute will be free and must be made online on the IFRR page according to the schedule. To register in the system, candidates must have a valid email account, which is essential for evaluating the candidate’s registration and for password recovery.
Mandatory documents include a Copy of High School Completion Proof via diploma or Schooling Declaration, Accompanied by School Records, a Copy of ID and CPF, and a Copy of Updated Proof of Residence (Water, Electricity, or Telephone) in the name of the candidate or a close relative.
The qualifying document is one that proves to be a Municipal, State, or Federal Public Servant highlighting the length of public service (declaration or certificate).
The filling of vacancies in the Basic Spanish EAD course will occur through the Order of Registration Completion and Analysis of Documents presented by candidates. Priority will be given to candidates who are Municipal, State, or Federal Public Servants residing in the municipalities of the State of Roraima.
Enrollment Process
The candidate qualified for the Spanish course at the Federal Institute will be called for pre-enrollment at the IFRR electronic address on the date provided in the schedule and must have all their complete, legible documentation in digital format or scanned (pdf or jpg) for online submission. Candidates who do not proceed with their pre-enrollment will be eliminated from the selection process, thereby losing their right to the slot.
At the time of enrollment for the free online language course, all approved candidates must present documents such as 1 recent photo 3×4, identity card, individual taxpayer registration (CPF), a copy of the marriage or birth certificate, voter registration card, military enlistment certificate, exemption from incorporation, or reservist certificate, in the case of males over 18 years old, and the high school completion certificate and transcript. Those who do not complete their enrollment will be considered withdraws, losing their right to the slot.
