Free EaD Courses Promote Learning About Afro-Brazilian Culture, Addressing Topics Such as Quilombos, Decoloniality, and Black Intellectuals
In celebration of Black Consciousness Month, Sesc Santa Catarina launched a series of free EaD courses that promote and celebrate Afro-Brazilian culture. The courses are part of the Afrocultura project, which aims not only to honor the African influence on Brazilian society but also to offer a deeper insight into themes such as decoloniality, quilombola resistance, and the lives of Black intellectuals. Registration is open and provides a unique opportunity for learning and reflection on the contributions of Black culture in the formation of Brazil.
With this initiative, Sesc reaffirms its commitment to anti-racist education, providing content that goes beyond academic aspects and seeks to promote social transformation. In partnership with specialists and historians, the project also offers lectures and discussion circles, providing a space for dialogue and reflection on the impact of African roots in the current context.
