The Federal Institute of Bahia (IFBA) – Salvador Campus is open for registrations for the 2025 Selection Process, aimed at free professional qualification courses offered by the Manuel Querino Program. With a total of 300 spots, the courses are in-person and aim to qualify young people and adults in different creative and cultural areas.
The free courses are part of an initiative to promote social and professional qualification, especially for young people between 16 and 29 years old. All courses will be offered in-person and have a total duration of 200 hours, distributed over approximately 20 hours per week. In addition to theoretical and practical classes, students will participate in technical visits, cultural events, and immersive experiences in their chosen field of action.
Available Spots and Offering Locations
The 300 spots will be distributed among different free courses and locations, as described below:

MEC calls for a 100% online and free course in Neuroeducation with 2,461 limited spots, a workload of 200 hours, and a certificate at no cost.

Fiocruz releases a free, 100% online course with a certificate and opens 20,000 spots for a 45-hour training on gambling, with no prerequisites required and registrations open until May 2026 for all of Brazil.

USP opens 10,000 spots in a free 100% online course lasting 110 hours in areas such as nutrition and health, with registrations until April 15 and classes on diabetes, obesity, and educational public policies.

Classes will take place from Monday to Friday, from 6 PM to 10 PM, with possible activities on Saturdays.
Selection Process and Quotas
The selection of candidates for professional qualification will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, provided that all required documentation is presented correctly. Additionally, there is a quota system, ensuring that 60% of the spots are reserved for Black, Brown, and Indigenous people (PPI), 5% for people with disabilities (PCD), and 5% for quilombolas. If the reserved spots are not filled, they will be opened to general competition.
Registration Requirements
To participate in the selection process, candidates must be 16 years old or older and have at least incomplete Elementary School I (1st to 5th grade). At the time of registration, it will be necessary to present an identity document, CPF, proof of schooling, and other documents required for candidates applying for quotas.
Selection Process Timeline
- Registration Period: January 31 to February 9, 2025
- Publication of Preliminary List of Registrants: February 12, 2025
- Period for Appeals: February 13 and 14, 2025
- Publication of Final Homologation List: February 17, 2025
- Institutional Enrollment of Approved Candidates: February 18 to 21, 2025
- Start of Classes: March 10, 2025
Registrations for Free Courses
Interested individuals must fill out the online form (click here) available during the established period. The completion certificate will be issued by the Federal Institute-IFBA for students who meet at least 75% attendance and achieve a minimum score of 6 in assessments.
