In the new decree signed this Sunday (22), Mayor Dr. Aluízio determined the suspension of all commercial activities in the city, including the onshore and banking sector, and creates a sanitary barrier in all accesses to the municipality of Macaé as a result of the coronavirus.

Last week, in a press conference held on the morning of Tuesday, 17, in the auditorium of Cidade Universitária on the Coronavirus, the mayor of Macaé, Dr. Aluizio (PSDB), informed that he would sign a new decree with measures to prevent the coronavirus, limiting the execution of activities involving onshore oil and gas in Macaé.

According to him, among other things, the decree will suspend the entry of tourist buses in Macaé for 30 days, a measure that the city hall believes to be one of the ways to prevent the contagion of the disease, which claimed the first fatality in Brazil on Tuesday, State of São Paulo, which has the highest number of confirmed cases in the country.
