People interested in entering the technology field, or just wanting to boost their resume, can find online a series of courses that, besides being online, are totally free.
One of the platforms offering free courses is EU Capacito, which announced opportunities for those interested in deepening their knowledge or learning a new skill.
In this article, we will show which courses were the most accessed on the platform in 2023. These opportunities, available this June 2024, are free and have a workload that ranges from one to up to 140 hours.
TEN Free Courses
Python
The first course is an introduction to Python, variables, list manipulation, functions and modules, external libraries, operating system, and much more. According to the platform, the course has a workload of 80 hours and offers a completion certificate.

Artificial Intelligence and Computational
Another topic that has a course on EU Capacito is Artificial Intelligence and Computational. In this module, students will have access to an introduction to AI. Furthermore, the course will cover topics such as problem-solving through searching, knowledge representation and reasoning, introduction to expert systems, machine learning, and other subjects. This course lasts for 80 hours.
Java Fundamentals
Also with a duration of 80 hours, the Java Fundamentals course covers object-oriented programming, IDEs, conversions, loops, among other topics.
Graphic Design
The Graphic Design course has a different workload. In total, there are 140 hours in which students will access the design process, learning to test variations, combinations, page structures, different columns, among other options. Additionally, the student will learn about design, typography, logo, vector images, projects, image composition, image composition in Photoshop, and graphic design in InDesign. The course focuses on creating a complete graphic project.
Big Data & Analytics
In the “Big Data & Analytics” course, students will have access to topics such as the art of transforming data into information. The course demonstrates how the topic can transform the way companies do business. In total, there are 60 hours of course. During this time, students will learn about Big Data and Analytics concepts, ecosystem and professions in Big Data, machine learning with the R language, among other topics.
Marketing in Social Media Platforms
In this course, students will have access to an introduction to digital marketing and social media. Additionally, they will learn about content marketing and inbound marketing, social networks, among other related topics, in modules totaling 60 hours.
User Experience
In the UX course, students will have access to introductory content on the subject. However, according to the EU Capacito platform, enrolled students also have the opportunity to create prototypes, making the module quite comprehensive.
Cybersecurity
This course, “Cybersecurity”, covers topics such as reducing the risk of attacks on software, computers, and networks. According to the platform, students will have access to tools used to detect breaches and contain viruses. The course, lasting 60 hours, aims to present the definition and relevance of Cybersecurity.
Leadership Communication
In the “Leadership Communication” course, the interested party will learn how to have effective communication, focusing on attracting more customers and achieving success in the organization. During the module, which has a workload of 60 hours, the enrolled student will learn about the human communication process, leadership communication, presentation skills and techniques, storytelling, among other topics.
Financial Management of Companies
Finally, we have the course in Financial Management of Companies, which has the shortest workload: 20 hours. According to EU Capacito, students will have the chance to learn more about financial theory so that they can evaluate indicators and know how to manage resources.
