Bicycle
Bicycles are vehicles moved exclusively by human power, equipped with two wheels and do not resemble motorcycles, scooters or mopeds, according to the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB).

Understand the rules for driving electric bicycles and mobility vehicles without a driver's license
CONTRAN Resolution No. 996, published in June 2023, clarifies the rules for the use of certain two-wheeled vehicles, such as electric bicycles and individual mobility equipment, without the need for a driver's license (CNH).
According to this resolution, electric bicycles that have an auxiliary motor of up to 1000 W and that only work when the cyclist pedals, as well as mobility equipment with limited power and a maximum speed of up to 32 km/h, can be driven without a driver's license. The idea is to simplify the use of these vehicles, as long as they follow the safety specifications determined by law.
Although the Resolution allows the driving of electric bicycles and individual mobility equipment without the need for a driver's license (CNH), these vehicles still need to be properly registered and licensed, depending on the case.
