Requirements to work as an electrician at Neoenergia Brasília
The opening of opportunities comes at a time of expansion of the distributor’s structure in the Federal District.
According to Neoenergia Brasília, since the beginning of operations in the federal capital in March 2021, the company has increased its workforce by 40%, a move that accompanies the need for reinforcement of specialized labor.
To compete for one of the positions, candidates must have completed high school, training as a distribution network electrician, and mandatory certifications for the exercise of the function.
Among them are basic and complementary NR 10, NR 10 SEP, and NR 35, as well as prior experience in the area and a National Driver’s License in category B.
Another requirement from the company is availability to work in the Federal District, as the approved professionals will join the operational fronts of the distributor in the region.
In practice, this is a selection aimed at those who already possess specific technical qualifications and the ability to take on activities directly related to the operation and safety of the electric network.
The requirement for these certifications aligns with the profile of the tasks expected for the position.
The work involves acting in energized structures or in environments that require strict protection protocols, which explains the need for prior training and compliance with mandatory courses.
Expansion of Neoenergia Brasília and new positions in the DF
The hiring of new electricians is part of Neoenergia Brasília’s expansion plan for 2026.
The distributor states that the reinforcement of teams aims to support the expansion of the network, meet new connections, and provide support for the operational demands of the system, which include everything from scheduled interventions to field response actions.
In this context, the company associates the admissions with the need to maintain service to the population with a technical structure compatible with the growth of operations.
The announced functions have a direct impact on services that are part of the daily lives of residential, commercial, and industrial consumers, especially in a distribution environment that requires quick responses and specialized teams.
Additionally, the profile of the positions indicates that the company is looking for professionals capable of performing various tasks within the routine of the electric network, not just isolated activities.
The scope combines maintenance, expansion, inspection, and operational support, which requires practical experience and mastery of safety protocols.
Electrician School: free training and high employability
For those who do not yet have training as a distribution network electrician, Neoenergia Brasília announced that it will continue to invest in the Electrician School, a free professional training program that serves as an entry point for new workers in the sector.
In 2026, three new classes are planned in the Federal District, with two in Taguatinga and one in Gama.
According to the company, the course is aimed at people over 18 years old, with completed high school and a driver’s license, with free classes taught in the DF in educational partnership.
The proposal combines theoretical and practical content, aiming to train professionals capable of entering the energy distribution field.
Data released by the distributor indicates that the school has established itself as one of the main training fronts for the sector within local operations.
In the last five years, 434 people have been trained in the Federal District, of which 45% are women, a percentage that the company highlights as part of the effort to increase female representation in a historically male career.
Neoenergia also reports that the employability rate of the initiative reaches 82%, with the incorporation of these professionals into the company’s own workforce.
Although hiring is not automatic for all students, the indicator shows that the training has been used as an effective channel for entering the job market in electrical distribution.
How to apply for electrician positions
Applications for the 60 electrician positions must be submitted by April 17, in a selection process conducted online by the Manpower Group, as reported by Neoenergia Brasília in the official announcement of the selection.
Those interested in future classes of the Electrician School will need to wait for the opening of the next announcements, which will still be disclosed by the distributor throughout the year for Taguatinga and Gama.
