The Announcement of the Company’s New Factory in São Paulo State
The company that works in the development of parts for vehicles will serve automakers in the Paraíba Valley. Present at the announcement ceremony for the construction of the new factory in São Paulo were the company president, Paulo Silvestri, the Mayor, Pétala Lacerda (Cidadania), as well as municipal secretaries and councilors.
According to the Caçapava city hall, the new factory will occupy an area of over 22,000 m² and will initially produce bumpers for automobiles. The operations are expected to begin in the first semester of 2022.

According to Silvestri, the choice of the municipality of Caçapava is mainly due to factors such as location and logistics in an area that concentrates a technology hub and qualified workforce. He also stated that the factory will have one of the most modern installations in the country. This will be Plascar’s fourth operational unit, which already has units in Jundiaí (also in São Paulo), Betim (Minas Gerais), and Varginha (Minas Gerais).

The French multinational Alstom announced on Tuesday (10/05), an expansion of operations at the factory in Taubaté, in the interior of São Paulo. The company will invest R$ 80 million to meet the manufacturing of trains on international projects. About 750 new jobs will be created with Alstom’s expansion plan.
To meet the new projects, Alstom is investing around 14 million euros (R$ 80 million) in modernizations and adaptations of its factory, aiming to start production on the new projects in 2022. New structures are being built at the company’s production complex in Taubaté, with plans to begin operations at the start of next year.
To support the manufacturing of trains on international projects and also for Line 6 of the metro in São Paulo, 500 new job vacancies will be created starting next year until the end of 2023, in Taubaté. Later, more than 200 opportunities should be opened for work in the factory in the interior of São Paulo and another 50 in São Paulo.
