Contract With TrueNoord Includes Purchase Rights for 30 More Aircraft and Is Valued at US$ 1.8 Billion, Strengthening the Brazilian Giant in the Global Market.
Embraer, one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world, announced this Tuesday (10/14) an important agreement with the Dutch company TrueNoord, specialized in leasing regional jets. The firm order includes 20 E195-E2 jets, in a negotiation that highlights the strength of the new generation of Brazilian aircraft in the international scene, according to information from the portal Metrópoles.
The contract, valued at US$ 1.8 billion at list price (approximately R$ 9.83 billion at current exchange rates), goes beyond the initial request. TrueNoord also secured the right to purchase up to 30 additional aircraft, including 20 of the same E195-E2 model and ten of the E175-E1, demonstrating a strong bet from the European company on the technology and efficiency of Embraer.
A Strategic Agreement of US$ 1.8 Billion
This deal represents a significant milestone for both companies. For TrueNoord, it is the first direct order made to a manufacturer, signaling a new phase of expansion and modernization of its fleet. In a market statement, TrueNoord’s CEO, Anne-Bart Tieleman, emphasized the importance of the step. “This is TrueNoord’s first direct order from an aircraft manufacturer, a milestone in the company’s journey,” said the executive.

Who Is TrueNoord, the New Partner of Embraer?

TrueNoord is a company of great relevance in the leasing of commercial aircraft, specifically focused on the segment of regional jets that seat 50 to 150 passengers. Its main activity is to lease aircraft to airlines worldwide, also offering essential services such as financing, asset management, and fleet transition support, making it a strategic partner for airlines.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, the Dutch company has a global presence, with offices in key centers such as Dublin, London, and Singapore. Currently, TrueNoord’s fleet consists of over 100 state-of-the-art aircraft, operated by more than 30 airlines in 24 countries. The choice of Embraer models to continue its expansion consolidates the quality of the Brazilian product in a highly competitive market.
The Impact on the Market and Sustainable Aviation
The partnership goes beyond impressive figures. According to Arjan Meijer, CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, the agreement sends a clear message to the market about the evolution of the sector. “This agreement also signals to the market the strong advancement of new-generation ‘narrowbody’ aircraft, as well as the growing demand for sustainable models with appropriate dimensions,” Meijer explained. The E2 family from Embraer is known for its fuel efficiency and for reducing noise and pollutant emissions.
The movement by TrueNoord confirms a global trend: airlines and leasing companies are actively seeking to modernize their fleets with aircraft that offer lower operational costs while meeting stringent environmental goals. As reported by Metrópoles, the choice of E-Jets E2 from Embraer positions both the manufacturer and its new client at the forefront of regional aviation, a vital segment for global connectivity.
