The Employees of Petrobras’ Outsourced Company, Araucária Nitrogenados (Ansa), Are Being Dismissed.
Throughout Petrobras’ statement that may lead to unemployment, the employees of Araucária Nitrogenados (Ansa) burned several telegrams that were sent to them by the large Brazilian state-owned company Petrobras.

On the morning when Ansa employees burned the telegrams, they were also invited to attend a hotel and sign their respective termination agreements for the outsourced company of the large Petrobras, which are at risk of entering the unemployment rate.
More Than 396 Employees At Risk of Unemployment
Ansa reveals that it has about 395 employees who work continuously, but only about 80 of them are still working, some are in what we usually call “hibernation” at Ansa. Working while some others from the outsourcing company are being laid off.

Oil Workers’ Strike
Regarding the strike and the burning of the telegrams, one of the employees spoke out, saying: “We understand that this call for employees is a pressure tactic to end the strike, but some of us do not accept that the vast majority be laid off for this to continue.”
Petrobras’ Dismissal Plan
Still in the following months of March and April, Petrobras plans about 3 stages of layoffs. The decision not to sign the termination was a direction given by the director of FUP amid the Petrobras oil workers’ strike. During the strike period, employees have their contracts suspended.
The large state-owned company now wishes to personally meet with the other employees of Araucária Nitrogenados (Ansa) to put a definitive end to this issue and officially finalize the dismissal process for these workers. Petrobras’ dismissal plan due to Araucária Nitrogenados may cause over 400 unemployed individuals; it states that new partnerships will be established and new job openings will arise soon.
