Yadea Starts Production of Electric Motorcycles in Manaus, Strengthening Its Presence in Brazil with a Focus on Urban Mobility, Efficient Logistics, and More Competitive Prices.
Focusing on expanding its operations in Latin America, Yadea, a global leader in electric two-wheeled vehicles, has officially begun manufacturing electric motorcycles in Brazil. The operation takes place in Manaus (AM), within the industrial hub of the Free Trade Zone, through a partnership with Jabil Industrial do Brasil Ltda (JBL).
This is the company’s fourth international production unit outside of China — and its first in South America — reinforcing the brand’s commitment to global expansion and innovation in urban mobility.
New Factory in Manaus Is a Strategy to Reduce Deadlines and Costs
The establishment of the production line in Brazil allows Yadea to significantly reduce delivery times for its products, while also improving the logistical structure and technical support offered to local consumers.

With national manufacturing, the company will also be able to benefit from the tax incentives of the Free Trade Zone model in Manaus, enhancing the competitiveness of its electric motorcycles in the country.
Another positive aspect is the facilitation of the homologation processes for models, now conducted in a more agile manner and integrated with Brazilian regulatory bodies.
In addition, local production expands Yadea’s capacity to tailor its vehicles to the specific needs of the national market, which has unique characteristics in terms of mobility and infrastructure.
Brazil Is a Key Piece in Yadea’s Latin American Expansion
For the Chinese manufacturer, the Brazilian market represents a strategic opportunity.
The country has high potential for the adoption of electric mobility solutions, especially in large metropolitan areas, which daily face challenges such as congestion, pollutant gas emissions, and noise pollution.
Yadea sees this scenario as an opportunity to offer sustainable, economical, and efficient alternatives for urban transportation.
According to Yadea’s general manager in Brazil, Mr. He, the arrival of domestic production is a decisive step.
“The launch of locally manufactured models is not only a strategic investment but also a commitment to the region. We will continue expanding our presence and providing our users with an efficient and smart journey,” he stated.
Scooters and Electric Motorcycles for Urban Use Are a Priority
Although the company has not yet detailed the exact models to be assembled in Manaus, market expectations are that the initial operation will focus on scooters and electric motorcycles for urban use.
These vehicles, increasingly popular in urban centers, serve not only individual consumers but also delivery fleets — a sector that is rapidly growing with the rise of e-commerce and delivery apps.
The choice of these segments is part of a global trend of investment in compact, efficient, and low operational cost vehicles — characteristics that make Yadea’s electric motorcycles extremely competitive in the Brazilian market.
Yadea’s entry into Brazil with domestic production is expected to encourage other Asian electric vehicle manufacturers to consider investing in the country as well.
The trend of nationalizing the production chain, especially in the segment of electric motorcycles and scooters, reinforces the importance of Brazil as a strategic hub for green mobility in the region.
