Officially named ‘TerraVis’, precisely because it was developed together with TerraVis Energy, the pickup has a tailgate with solar panels attached to it, and in addition, the number of panels can vary according to the model that the customer orders.
The solar energy panels attached to the vehicle’s tailgate collect sunlight and store it in a high-capacity battery, the ‘COR mobile Energy Storage’. For the pickup to move using solar energy, its system includes an AC/DC inverter, which helps extend the electric pickup’s range by up to 48km.

Launch of the Solar-Powered Pickup Will First Happen in Canada
The CEO of Worksport praised the advantages of his pickup when discussing the launch of the TerraVis, where he states that the user will not run out of ‘fuel’, even when it is necessary to replace the battery.
This will be possible thanks to an autonomy system called hot-swap, allowing discharged batteries to be replaced in just 1 minute without even needing to turn off the system.
An online platform has been created so that customers worldwide can access the portfolio and place their orders. The platform was inaugurated last Tuesday, (21), and the expectation is that there will be an increase in demand for the system. The Canadian company said that opening this portal to the public is a significant achievement for its team and that they are very excited about the progress of the TerraVis production.
Vision of the CEO of Worksport
Steven Rossi, CEO of Worksport, stated that the average American drives about 48km a day, and his company can handle all of that, offering its solar energy products. In addition, he also highlighted the significant reduction in carbon emissions, which becomes advantageous in the work of preserving the environment.
