Various Direct And Indirect Jobs Will Be Created During And After The Construction Of The New Octans Aircraft Factory In Sobral, Ceará    

Octans Aircraft, after negotiations in recent months, decided to open a headquarters in the state of Ceará, with investment for the installation of its new small aircraft factory. If the project is realized, the aircraft factory will be located in Sobral, a city in the northern zone of Ceará. Unlike Aracati and Eusébio, the two cities initially considered to host Octans Aircraft, Sobral took the lead and managed to attract the project.

According To Maia Júnior, Current Secretary Of Economic Development (Sedet), The Entire Plant Will Have An Investment Of Around R$ 50 Million And Will Be Located At Sobral Airport In Ceará. Hundreds Of Jobs Are Already Expected To Be Generated During And Upon Completion Of The Works.

The Secretary Also Revealed That The Project Will Partner With The Ceará Development Agency, Adece, But Did Not Disclose The Extent Of Adece’s Participation In The Partnership With The Aircraft Factory Works.

Maia Júnior Stated This Is The Moment When The Valuation (Company Valuation Calculation) Will Be Made, Typically Conducted In Cases Of Projects Aimed At Society, To Define The Shareholders’ Participation. Maia Concludes By Saying That Contracts Must Provide Necessary Guarantees.

Next Phases Of The Project

During The Last Meeting Of 2021, On December 28, The Project For The New Aircraft Factory In Ceará Was Approved By The Economic Development Council, Linked To Sedet.

Maia Reported That He Believes That Even After Completing The Economic, Financial And Legal Construction Phase Throughout The Process, The Project Will Need To Go Back To The Council For Final Approval, And Only From Then Will The Project Move To The Implementation Phase.

Sudene (Superintendence For The Development Of The Northeast) Is Also Participating In The Negotiations With The Company, Which Currently Has A Factory In São Paulo. Octans Aircraft Has Delivered Over 200 Aircraft Since Its Foundation

Octans Aircraft, Previously Known As Inpaer, Was Founded In 2002. The Aircraft Factory Currently Located In São João da Boa Vista, São Paulo, Operates In All Phases Of Development And Assembly Of Aircraft.

Its Involvement Only Ends When The Aircraft Is Delivered To The Customer. Since 2017, When It Changed Its Name To Octans Aircraft For Strategic Reasons Related To The Company’s Globalization, Investment Demand Has Been Around R$ 80 Million.

The Company Has Delivered About 240 Aircraft To Its Customers. The Model Available For Purchase On The Octans Aircraft Website Is The Single-Engine Cygnus, A Small Aircraft With Five Seats And iBR 2020 Certification Issued By The National Civil Aviation Agency.
