Electric power company will build a substation in Santa Catarina

The private electricity company ISA CTEEP, which is one of the largest companies in the sector in the country, obtained approval from the IMA – Institute for the Environment of Santa Catarina for the installation of an electrical energy substation and equipment to interconnect Elétrica (IE) Biguaçu, in Santa Catarina. The project was purchased in the first batch of the transmission auction held in June, 2018, and also follows the expansion of a substation and the construction of another substation, as well as a 57-kilometer transmission line, including both air, submarine and underground sections.

Investment in a substation in Santa Catarina exceeds R$ 600 million

The investment by the electricity company ISA CTEEP in the construction of the substation and interconnection in Santa Catarina exceeds R$ 600 million, and the Annual Revenue is more than R$ 40 million between 2020 and 2021.

The deadline for energizing the substation and the like is September 2023. During the entire construction journey of the substation and other projects of the undertaking by the electricity company ISA CTEEP, local labor will be used, where it will be built, which has in in view of hiring almost 400 professionals.

The electricity company ISA CTEEP is present in more than 15 states in Brazil, and operates in a transmission network, through which approximately 33% of all electricity transmitted in the country travels, and around 94% in the state of SP . The company's electrical system comprises more than 20 km of transmission lines and 126 substations.
