Energisa’s Investments Will Be Dedicated to Universalization, Network Expansion, Maintenance, and Combating Losses in the Energy Sector
One of the main private groups in the electric sector of Brazil, Energisa is the 5th largest electricity distributor in the country. Recently, the company announced it will invest R$ 3.8 billion in 2021. The projected amount exceeds the R$ 2.98 billion spent by the group last year.

These amounts refer to its own electrical and non-electrical assets, focusing on popularization programs, new charging services, network expansion, maintenance and replacement of assets, service quality enhancement of assets, distribution services, and combating energy theft.
The company also aims to invest in the lots acquired from the auctions held in 2017, 2018, and 2019, which pertain to the transmission segment.

Areas and Amounts to Be Invested:
Of the total R$ 3.8 billion that Energisa will invest, R$ 2.7 billion will be allocated to distributors, R$ 838 million for transmission projects, R$ 204.8 million for the subsidiary Alsol, and the remainder will be allocated for other services of the company.
The concession in the state of Rondônia will receive the largest share of the year’s resources, totaling R$ 747.5 million, followed by Energisa Mato Grosso – R$ 574.8 million, and Mato Grosso do Sul – R$ 442.3 million.
In the transmission sector, the most significant investment is the project of R$ 389.7 million in Tocantins and the investment of R$ 318.6 million in Amazonas, which is expected to begin this year.
