Eneva Day 2023 Reveals Main Results and Investments of Eneva in the Brazilian Energy Market Over the Past Years

The integrated energy company Eneva has achieved significant results in the national energy market over the past few years.

During the Eneva Day conference, held this Wednesday to present the company’s main results, it announced that it invested R$ 8.4 billion in acquisitions and expansion of its operations between 2017 and 2022.

In addition, it is projecting more R$ 11 billion in CAPEX by the end of 2023, totaling approximately R$ 20 billion in investments over the last few years.

The company has been heavily investing in diversifying its business portfolio, moving towards the energy transition of the Brazilian market. Furthermore, the results demonstrate the company’s significant efforts aimed at creating regional gas hubs and expanding the generation of thermal and renewable energy.

During the presentation of the Eneva Day reports, Eneva highlighted the reduced dependence on revenue generation from energy dispatches led by the National Electric System Operator (ONS) as one of its main achievements in recent years.

This means that, even if there is no demand for thermoelectric energy generation in the national scenario, it continues to have relevant results, due to its participation in assets that contribute to national energy security.

CEO Lino Cançado commented on the results of Eneva Day, stating: “Eneva is becoming a unique company in the country, which will ensure a much higher and independent fixed revenue, while being prepared for an increase in variable revenue at opportune moments.”

“We are a company with a diverse portfolio, with unique and pioneering competencies, whether in our business models or the locations where we operate,” he concluded.

Company Highlights Six Strategic Challenges for New Investments and Results in the National Energy Market

During Eneva Day 2023, the company highlighted the main strategic challenges for intensive growth in the national energy market. They are:

  1. Replicate the pioneering Reservoir-to-wire business model from Maranhão in other regions, as well as understand how the life cycle of its enterprises works;
  2. Expand its reserves while preserving the offering of integrated solutions to its customers in Northern Brazil;
  3. Further improve the natural gas hub projects in the energy market of the North and Northeast;
  4. Commercialize energy services and resources with new business models;
  5. Promote low carbon initiatives, with a renewable portfolio in which the company will invest R$ 500 million by 2030;
  6. Present a new structure for the Executive Board, making the company’s administration more agile and organized.

With these future investment plans, Eneva will chart a bright future in the national energy market.
