The achievement came from the Parnaíba Basin, where the company found evidence of gas in well 1-ENV-13-MA, located in the onshore block PN-T-68. This information was reported to the National Agency of Petroleum (ANP) last Thursday (08/13).

The drilling of this asset, which began this August, is the first in an area made available in the 1st Cycle of the Permanent Offering, which consists of the continuous offering of exploratory blocks and areas with marginal accumulations returned or in the process of being returned to the ANP.

In early July, Eneva also made discoveries in the Parnaíba Basin, specifically through well 3-ENV-11D-MA in the onshore block PN-T-48, in Maranhão. The company claims that it will drill more wells in some of these blocks by the end of this year, but the exact number has not been disclosed.

Eneva was one of the companies qualified to compete in the sale process of Petrobras‘ participation in the Urucu Pole, which includes seven onshore oil and natural gas fields located in the Solimões Basin, in the state of Amazonas.

Eneva is already operating in Amazonas, through the exploration of the Azulão Field, acquired from Petrobras in 2017, where it is executing the integrated “Azulão-Jaguaritica” project. The project will receive approximately R$ 1.9 billion in investments, and the start of energy delivery is expected for 2021.
