Once all the equipment arrives, the second phase of electromechanical assembly, positioning the equipment on the bases, and the control system will begin,” explained Eneva’s Operations Director, Lino Cançado.
The executive stated that operations at the Azulão Field had a reduced workforce due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and a recovery plan is underway.
“We are already at workforce levels very close to those before the COVID crisis. And we will have a little more workers operating than the initial personnel schedule to try to recover this loss of productivity due to the reduced workforce,” he stated.
Azulão-Jaguatirica Project by Eneva
The natural gas produced at AZulão Field will undergo treatment, liquefaction, storage, and will be transported by cryogenic trucks, which transport Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) at low temperatures, to the UTE Jaguatirica II.
Scheduled to be fully operational by the second half of 2021, the project will add about 20% more to the energy matrix of the state of Roraima. “It is a project that not only brings returns to the company and its shareholders, but also benefits the environment and the populations in the interior of the state”, he highlighted.
It is estimated that at the peak of construction at the Azulão Field and the plant, there will be more than two thousand workers operating in the two units. And hiring has already begun! Click here to check some recently opened job vacancies for this project.
