About the exploratory oil and gas blocks acquired by Eneva
Eneva made the highest bid in an area of marginal accumulation in the state of Amazonas and disbursed BRL 43,05 million for four exploratory oil and gas blocks. There are still 16 areas to be sold.
Eneva won a 16.290.500% stake in blocks AM-T-100, AM-T-62 and AM-T-84 for BRL 84. The oil and natural gas exploration areas are close to Campo Azulão and are already operated by Eneva with the start of natural gas production estimated for the first half of 2021.
As for the Juruá marginal accumulation area, in the Solimões Basin, in Amazonas, the oil company paid R$25.760.000 and acquired a 100% stake in the field, winning the company Imetame, which offered a bonus of R$5.693.117.
According to the Juruá Development Plan, prepared by Petróleo Brasileiro SA. – Petrobras and approved by the ANP in 2012, the in-place volume of non-associated gas from Juruá is 25,9 billion cubic meters. The value of the signing bonus offered by Eneva for Juruá was R$ 25,7 million.
In the Paraná basin, located in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul and Goiás, Eneva acquired a 70% stake in blocks PAR-T-196, PAR-T-215, PAR-T-86, PART-99, in a consortium with Enauta Energia, with a 30% stake. The consortium will be operated by Eneva. The total amount of signature bonuses offered for these exploratory blocks was R$2,1 million, of which R$1,5 million net for Eneva.
“The company's future is centered on this, with monetization options not only in energy generation, but also in the new gas market”, evaluated Eneva's CEO, Pedro Zinner.
According to him, the company is contributing to the energy transition in the state of Amazonas. In this sense, there is the possibility of replacing diesel generation with natural gas, a less polluting and more efficient fuel.
According to the ANP schedule, the signing of the concession contracts of the companies winning the auction must take place by June 30, 2021.
