This agreement aims to develop construction projects for Espírito Santo Refinery (RefinES) and Capixaba Factory for Lubricants and Asphalt (LubCap), in locations to be defined in the State of Espírito Santo.
RefinES will have an initial capacity of 30,000 bbl/day, generating gasoline, diesel, marine diesel oil (bunker), and fuel oil.
LubCap will have an initial production capacity of 1,000 bbl/day of lubricants and 500 tons/day of asphalt, adding value to the heavy oil produced on land in Espírito Santo.
The implementation of these projects in Espírito Santo is part of EnP’s plans to develop an Energy Ecosystem in the State, one of the best environments for investment in the country.
“Due to the privileged conditions of Espírito Santo, such as strategic location, A-rated business environment, and the combination of land and marine production of different types of oil, the state was chosen for these two ventures,” said EnP CEO, Márcio Felix.
The expectation of the companies is that the projects will attract investments amounting to R$ 2 billion for the two projects.
Oil Group’s plans for the Southeast and Northeast include investing in larger, expandable plants—at Açu, the project includes an expansion to 50,000 barrels/day. In another front, in the Northeast and Midwest, the company sees an opportunity for mini-refineries.
