The Brasfels shipyard, part of the Keppel Offshore & Marine group, located in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, has announced the opening of over 100 job vacancies for professionals with high school, technical, and higher education backgrounds who want to work in the shipbuilding industry, one of the most important sectors of the oil and gas industry in Brazil. Brasfels Shipyard Has Contracts with Petrobras for Ship and Platform Construction and Repair

The Brasfels shipyard has a long-standing partnership with Petrobras, the largest oil and gas company in the country. In 2022, the shipyard delivered the P-78 platform to Petrobras, which operates in the Búzios field in the pre-salt layer of the Santos Basin. The platform has the capacity to produce 180 thousand barrels of oil and 7.2 million cubic meters of gas per day.

In 2023, the Brasfels shipyard is expected to deliver the P-79 platform to Petrobras, which will also operate in the Búzios field. The platform has the same characteristics as the P-78 and is part of Petrobras’s production expansion plan in the pre-salt layer.

In addition to the platforms, the Brasfels shipyard also has contracts with Petrobras for the repair of ships and platforms that are already in operation. These contracts ensure the maintenance of the quality and safety of the vessels and Petrobras’s offshore facilities.
