Job Positions at the Navship Shipyard – São João da Barra (RJ)

Production Assistant

The production assistant’s role is to maintain the team’s productivity in the workplace and provide all the necessary materials for the operation. Another duty that will be part of the selected candidate’s daily routine is performing maintenance on the machines, always using personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure their own safety and that of their colleagues. 

The production assistant will supply materials at the shipyard while other members work on welding and additional activities to create the products sold by the company. 

Administrative 

The administrative assistant is responsible for managing accounts payable and employee rights, as well as gathering budgets to understand market prices before making any purchases for the shipyard’s constructions. 

The administrative role involves handling all tax issues of the institution, employee rights, and accounts payable and receivable. With this in mind, having experience with creating spreadsheets and managing large volumes of data  is a significant advantage for candidates.

Warehouse

The warehouse assistant will control, using notebooks and spreadsheets, all materials that enter and leave the stock. Having at least six months of experience in this position is a plus. The candidate should have basic knowledge of basic Excel and Office Suite. 

The salary for warehouse staff may vary according to the company and region in Brazil; the institution has not disclosed the amount. However, according to the Vagas portal, it can range from R$ 1500 to R$ 2000. 

Navship Equipment Operator

The equipment operator will be responsible for making repairs and improvements to the construction equipment at the shipyard to ensure greater productivity of the teams.  Another task that is part of the professional’s daily routine involves preventive maintenance to avoid future technical failures.  The equipment operator should have basic knowledge of mechanics. 

Naval Mechanic

The naval mechanic needs to have experience related to naval activities and working at heights for various repairs. It is not necessary to have a high school diploma in the field, but experience is required, and having a technical or vocational course is an advantage. 

The naval mechanic is an increasingly sought-after professional in shipyards across Brazil and in the offshore industry in general. 

Ship Painter

The painter needs to have experience working at heights and using ropes. They will work on-site at the shipyard painting surfaces and treating corroded areas over time to increase the product’s durability.
