Both Negotiations Were Made at the Paris Air Show. With This, Embraer Will Allow the Brazilian Air Force to Access Aircraft Update List
During the Paris Air Show International, the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) announced its intention to carry out a technological upgrade on the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft, in partnership with Embraer, which are an international sales success and are used by various air forces around the world. The FAB currently has 60 of these Embraer models in its fleet, according to the website Petronotícias.
The partnership with Embraer will allow the FAB to access a list of updates already implemented over the lifetime of the aircraft, as well as the possibility of developing new features and capabilities. This technological upgrade from the FAB and Embraer aims to ensure that the aircraft are always equipped with the most advanced performance and operational capabilities.
The 60 A-29 aircraft from the FAB with Embraer are distributed across five squadrons and have accumulated over 325,000 flight hours. They play a crucial role in Brazilian territory, carrying out training missions, air interception, surveillance, and also being part of the renowned Air Demonstration Squadron, better known as the “Smoke Squadron”.

Another Surprising Announcement in the Aircraft Sector
Still during the Paris Air Show International, in addition to the announcement from Embraer and the FAB, IndiGo, the largest airline in India by market share, made an impressive announcement by placing an order for 500 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family. This contract establishes a new record as the largest individual purchase contract in the history of commercial aviation.
With this order, the total number of Airbus aircraft ordered by IndiGo reaches 1,330, making it the largest customer of the family A320 worldwide, even more than Embraer. This strategic partnership between IndiGo and Airbus further strengthens their relationship and highlights the airline’s commitment to making air travel accessible for millions of people in a constantly growing aviation market.
Christian Scherer, commercial director and international head of Airbus, emphasized the importance of this historic milestone in the aircraft sector, stating that the order marks a new chapter in the partnership between Airbus and IndiGo. He highlighted that the Indian airline is playing a fundamental role in making air travel more accessible to an increasing number of people.
Based in New Delhi, IndiGo already has a fleet of 264 aircraft from the A320 family in operation, which places it among the largest in the world. This significant new order further reinforces its position as one of the leading airlines in the industry and its determination to continue expanding its operations to meet the growing demand for air travel in India and beyond.
