Expectations with the Sale of the Unit in the State of Ceará
The expectation of the government of Ceará is that the future owners of the Troller plant will also invest in technology, especially so that the SUVs have reduced energy consumption. Currently, the T4 line is equipped with the same engine as the Ford Ranger, a five-cylinder 3.2 turbodiesel with 200 hp and 47.9 kgfm of torque.
Finally, it is also expected a diversification of the off-road brand’s range with investments in so-called clean energy matrices, that is, electric vehicles or even those powered by hydrogen.

Negotiations for the sale of Troller are already at advanced levels, and the potential buyer is considering bringing operations to Ceará. However, for this to happen, the transfer of the Troller plant to the Port of Pecém will be necessary, due to graphene.
The possible recipient of the Troller plant is the Export Processing Zone (ZPE), which is currently located in Horizonte. The reason is that the group interested in Troller is linked to the production of wind energy blades. The interest in the ZPE arises from the ease of installing a graphene production line, which is extracted from graphite found in the Baturité Massif in the Aracoiaba region. The graphene would be produced in the same Troller plant at the Port of Pecém for use in wind turbine towers that support the wind blades.
Executives from the company interested in the automaker met with authorities in Ceará to analyze the possibility of transferring Troller to the Port of Pecém, which would centralize the graphene operation and vehicle production.
