The initiative is part of CaTec, a program from the State Department of Education of Santa Catarina that expands access for public school students to quality technical training. Classes start on September 8 and will take place directly at Senai units, with access to on-site food.
According to the regional coordinator of Senai/SC, “the courses provide a competitive edge for the young person, who leaves high school with a professional qualification recognized by the industry”. Furthermore, all courses have a certificate valid throughout Brazil, which can open doors for formal employment and even serve as a foundation for higher education.
