Program Structure
The PROFARTES consists of a total workload of 420 hours, spread over 24 months.
Of the total hours, 360 are in-person and 60 are held remotely, allowing for flexibility that adapts to teachers’ routines.
This innovative format is designed to ensure that educators not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also develop practical skills that can be applied in the classroom.

Registrations are open to arts teachers who are already working in basic education and have a degree recognized by MEC.

- São Paulo State University (UNESP): 22 spots
- Federal University of Bahia (UFBA): 20 spots
- University of Brasília (UNB): 32 spots
- Federal University of Ceará (UFC): 14 spots
- Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS): 19 spots
- Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG): 20 spots

MEC Selection Process
To register for PROFARTES, candidates must go through a selection process divided into two phases.
In the first phase, it is necessary to present a Descriptive Memorial and a Research Project, which will be evaluated by an examination committee.
In the second phase, candidates will participate in an Oral Defense Exam, where they must orally defend their project, demonstrating mastery of the content and alignment with the objectives of the course.
