The Foundation for Support to Technical School (Faetec) has opened over 37 thousand slots for free courses in professional qualification throughout the State of Rio de Janeiro, with registrations already underway and a deadline until January 25.
The initiative serves young people and adults from the age of 14 and offers opportunities in strategic areas of the job market. The selection will take place via electronic draw, which increases access and guarantees equal chances for candidates interested in improving their training and expanding job possibilities.

Faetec provides 37,573 slots for Initial and Continuing Education courses in units distributed across different regions of the state.

Registrations started this Monday (12) and will continue until 11:59 PM on January 25, exclusively through the official website of the institution, linked to the Secretary of Science, Technology, and Innovation. In this way, the foundation aims to democratize access to professional qualification, especially for those facing difficulties in entering the job market.
Moreover, the courses have an average duration of 20 weeks, a period considered sufficient for the development of practical and theoretical competencies. The educational requirements vary according to the chosen area, which expands the reach of the initiative and strengthens Faetec’s role in technical education.
Offered Areas Expand Job and Income Opportunities
Among the free courses offered by Faetec are areas with high demand, such as Administration, Information Technology, Beauty, Gastronomy, Mechanics, Electronics, and Robotics. There are also options in Performing Arts, Music, and Languages, which diversify opportunities and cater to different student profiles.
Each candidate can choose up to four courses at the time of registration. However, once completed, it will not be possible to change or add new options. Therefore, Faetec advises interested parties to carefully assess the areas before finalizing the registration, considering affinity, availability, and professional goals.

The Secretary of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Anderson Moraes, highlighted the social impact of the initiative and reinforced the role of technical education. The selection process will occur via electronic draw, scheduled for January 26, with the results published on Faetec’s website. This model avoids disputes based on the order of registration and ensures transparency in filling the slots, a factor that strengthens the institution’s credibility.
Meanwhile, the selected candidates must complete their enrollment between January 27 and February 2, directly at the chosen unit. To do so, it will be necessary to present the original documentation required in the announcement, respecting the established deadlines.
