The Federal Institute of São Paulo has opened 200 vacancies for the free and fully online specialization in Inclusive Education, offered by the Ilha Solteira Campus.
Applications are open until April 12, 2026, and the course is scheduled to begin in July 2026, concluding in July 2027.
The selection will be divided into three stages, including an electronic draw with live transmission on the campus’s YouTube channel.

The lato sensu postgraduate program has a workload of 400 hours, with 390 hours allocated to curricular components and 10 hours for the Final Course Project.
According to the announcement, this is for admission in the second semester of 2026, with full offering in the EaD modality.
Although the course is online, students will be linked to one of the five reference and support centers defined in the selection process: Apiaí, Bálsamo, Campinas, Igarapava – SP Vila Gomes, and Votorantim.
The announcement states that no in-person attendance will be required throughout the training, so the use of these centers will be optional, including for support with administrative questions.
Distribution of vacancies and centers of IFSP
Each center will have 40 vacancies, totaling the 200 opportunities opened by IFSP.
The division also follows the institution’s affirmative action policy.
- 26 vacancies for general competition
- 12 vacancies for black, brown, indigenous, or quilombola candidates
- 2 vacancies for people with disabilities
In total, the announcement provides for 130 vacancies for general competition, 60 for PPIQ, and 10 for PCD.
The opening of the new class occurs after the previous offering of the course at the campus.
On the official page about the specialization, IFSP informs that this will be the second class of the postgraduate program in Inclusive Education in Ilha Solteira, in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB) and Capes.
The target audience includes graduates in any area, provided that the higher education degree is recognized by the MEC.
Still, the announcement registers a preference for licensed professionals and for those working in the field of education.
At the time of enrollment, the approved candidates must prove the completion of their degree with a diploma, certificate, or completion statement, according to the rules of the selection process.
Selection stages and priority criteria
The IFSP selection was organized into three stages.
The first corresponds to the division of applicants by priority order.
- Licensed professionals working in education
- Graduates working in education
- Licensed professionals without experience in the field
- Graduates without experience in education
This initial classification does not replace the need for documentary proof.
The announcement stipulates that candidates declaring to have a degree or experience in the field of education must attach the corresponding documents at the time of application.
Without this proof, the application may be disqualified.
The second stage will be an electronic draw, scheduled for May 4, 2026, starting at 3 PM, with live transmission on the IFSP Ilha Solteira Campus YouTube channel.
The procedure will be carried out after applying the priority criteria and will be separated by category and by center.
Each applicant will receive a unique number to participate in the draw, and following the transmission will not be mandatory.
The third stage consists of the verification of the documentation submitted by the candidates.
In this phase, the committee will analyze the documents according to the order of the draw and the priority criteria, until the vacancies and the waiting list are filled.
The announcement also provides for the possibility of utilizing remaining vacancies among centers.
Dates of the IFSP selection process
The official schedule sets April 12, 2026 as the final deadline for applications.
The approved applications must be published on April 22, with an appeal period on April 23 and 24.
The approved list is scheduled for April 29.
After that, the draw will be held on May 4, with appeals on May 5 and 6 and the final result of the draw on May 13.
Subsequently, the announcement establishes the publication of the preliminary result on June 17, appeal period on June 18 and 19, and final result on June 24, 2026.
The first call for enrollment is also scheduled for June 24, with enrollment from June 25 to July 1.
If necessary, a second call may occur starting July 8, 2026.
Another important point is that, according to IFSP, if the number of applicants at a given center is equal to or less than the total number of vacancies offered, there will be no draw at that center.
Training in inclusive education and course objectives
The specialization project was structured to deepen the training of professionals who work or wish to work with special and inclusive education.
Among the objectives described by IFSP are the discussion of inclusive educational practices and policies.
Contents aimed at the inclusion of students with disabilities and specific educational needs are also planned.
The course seeks to expand the repertoire on technologies, resources, and attitudes that favor the guarantee of rights.
Additionally, the pedagogical document of the course highlights the intention to strengthen the training of education professionals.
This design helps explain why the announcement prioritizes licensed professionals and candidates with experience in the educational sector.
How to enroll in the free course at IFSP
Enrollment must be done exclusively through the electronic form, available from March 30 to April 12, 2026.
In the registration, the candidate needs to indicate the preferred center. It is also necessary to attach the corresponding documentary proof of the declared condition.
The process is free, with no tuition fees, enrollment fees, or application fees.
All official publications regarding approval, draws, results, and calls must be monitored by candidates on the IFSP and Ilha Solteira Campus pages.
