New Fiat Car On The Way As Possible Replacement For The Fiat Mobi! The New Compact Hatch Is Already In The Testing Phase In Brazil And Promises To Conquer The National Market. With The Proposal Of Being An Affordable And Competitive Car, The Model Seeks To Meet The Needs Of Consumers Who Prioritize Economy, Functionality And Cost-Benefit

Fiat is executing a strategic renewal in its automotive portfolio, focusing on the national market and now promises to bring a new replacement for the Fiat Mobi. The Italian brand, known for its compact and economical vehicles, is testing a new hatchback in Brazil that will serve as a replacement for the Mobi and Argo models, which will be the national version of the Fiat Grande Panda, a cheap car that draws attention abroad.

What Will Change In The New Fiat Car For The National Market?

This move by the company aligns with the global trend of Stellantis to unify its product lines, providing greater profitability. Recently, two units of the new Fiat hatch were spotted at Viracopos International Airport in Campinas, São Paulo. They showcase a cheap car painted black and another one camouflaged.

Although the Fiat Mobi replacement is based on the European Grande Panda, it will not be identical to the European version; rather, it will be adapted to meet the demands of the Brazilian market, serving as a basis for the next generation of the Argo. What should not change in the new Fiat car are the dimensions, with 3.99 meters in length and a wheelbase of 2.54 meters.

The Grande Panda, Fiat’s new hatch, is based on the Smart Car platform, as Stellantis now refers to the CMP platform of the Citröen C3, Aircross, and Basalt, along with the Peugeot 208 and 2008. This platform is the new standard for the group’s compacts, and Fiat is the last generalist brand to adopt it. The launch in Brazil will take even longer because it is necessary to update the factory in Betim (MG).

New Affordable Fiat Car Promises To Deliver Up To 113 Hp

The new Fiat hatch is developed and manufactured in Betim (MG) as the next generation of the Argo, or by the codename Project 328/F1H. As the Fiat Mobi does not have a new generation planned, this car will be a replacement for the Fiat Mobi and will be the cheapest Fiat in Brazil once the older models are phased out.

The design of the new Fiat car may follow the shapes of the Grande Panda, but it will not be exactly the same. The new Fiat car has its name printed on the doors, for example, in addition to headlights composed of LED points. The trend is that the Brazilian version will have different highlights, especially since it will arrive 2 years later. The squared shapes, however, would be a great invitation to revive the Uno name.

One concept that remains is that the Smart Car platform can give rise to cars with combustion engines, which in Brazil will be the 1.0 and 1.3 from the Firefly and GSE Turbo family, with a mild hybrid system, or an electric motor, and all of them can be manufactured on the same production line. In the cheaper cars, the electric motor may have between 58 hp and 113 hp, and the batteries can have between 29 and 44 kWh.

Other Fiat Models That Will Arrive In The Automotive Market

Besides the new replacement for the Fiat Mobi, the brand plans to launch the new generations of Fastback and Pulse with international reach. The strategy aims to integrate European and Brazilian lines, eliminating regionalism in Stellantis products.

The new concepts, known as Panda Fastback and Giga Panda, represent the evolution. With the changes and the arrival of the new affordable car, Fiat reaffirms its commitment to grow in the global market, leveraging the synergies of the Stellantis group.
