This year, the State Department of Traffic of Ceará (Detran-CE) announced new dates and cities covered by the CNH Popular program. If you have been approved, you need to schedule your service at the driving school according to the available day and time. Attention: the maximum time to complete the process is 12 months.
In Ceará, 25,000 citizens have already benefited from the CNH Popular program, with 5,000 driver’s licenses issued just for Fortaleza and the other 20,000 distributed among the remaining 183 municipalities.
How Does the Process Work?
For those who want to take advantage of the end of the CNH fee, it is important to know the stages of the driver training process, according to resolution No. 789/2020 from Contran:
- Physical and mental aptitude exam with psychological assessment;
- Technical-theoretical course;
- Theoretical-technical test;
- Practical vehicle driving course;
- Practical vehicle driving test.
Each stage must be strictly completed within the established deadlines. If you miss an stage, you may be disqualified and lose the benefit. So, stay alert!
