In this course, students will learn about the process of genetic investigation, from the analysis of the phenotype to the identification of possible genetic causes of diseases.
The course will be in-person and will take place in Fiocruz laboratories, providing a rich and practical experience for participants.
Physiology of Vector Insects
Students will have the chance to explore the physiology of vector insects, which are fundamental organisms in the transmission of diseases such as dengue, zika, and malaria.
The course aims to understand the biological aspects of these insects to enhance epidemic control strategies.
HIV: Virological, Immunological, and Host Genetics Aspects
This in-person course will address aspects of HIV, including the interaction of the virus with the immune system and the genetic implications for hosts.

Inclusion, Health, and Teaching Practices: Education for Diversity
This remote course aims to discuss teaching practices that promote inclusion and health, focusing on how education can be a powerful tool to address diversity issues in the health context.
Molecular Techniques Applied in Detecting Leishmania spp. in Its Phlebotomine Vectors
In this course, students will learn the molecular techniques used to detect Leishmania spp., the parasites responsible for leishmaniasis, in their vectors, the phlebotomines.
The course will be in-person and will allow participants to gain in-depth knowledge of the diagnostic methodologies for these tropical diseases.
