The National School of Public Health Sérgio Arouca (ENSP), part of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), has launched the Notice No. 76/2024 for the selection process of the free specialization course “Permanent Education: Health and Education from an Integrative Perspective”.
This graduate course, offered in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB), provides 200 spots for regular students and 80 spots for alternates, presenting a unique opportunity for professional training for workers in the health and education fields.
Objective of the Free Course and Workload
The free course aims to train professionals to develop strategic actions based on Permanent Education, promoting the integration of health and education. Offered in a distance learning format, the program consists of 384 hours, of which 328 hours are conducted online in a Virtual Learning Environment (AVA) and 56 hours are in-person, divided into three mandatory meetings.

Spots and Locations
There are 200 spots available for regular students and 80 for alternates, distributed among UAB centers in states such as Goiás, Piauí, Paraná, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and others. The distribution includes categories of open competition and affirmative actions, ensuring representation for blacks, indigenous people, people with disabilities, transgender individuals, and transvestites.
Selection Process
The selection for the Fiocruz online graduate course will be based on the analysis of resumes and letters of intent, totaling up to 10 points. Candidates who do not achieve a minimum score of 6.0 points will be disqualified. Additionally, affirmative actions involve procedures such as racial self-identification and biopsychosocial assessment for persons with disabilities.
Requirements for Course Registration
Candidates for the free online course from Fiocruz must have a bachelor’s degree, the ability to use computers, internet access, and availability of 8 to 10 hours per week for the course, as well as the ability to attend mandatory in-person meetings.

- Publication of Preliminary Results: January 23, 2025
- Appeal Period: January 23 and 24, 2025
- Interviews for Affirmative Actions: January 30 to February 2, 2025
- Final Result: February 14, 2025
- Submission of Enrollment Documents: February 14 to March 13, 2025
- Course Start (1st In-Person Meeting): March 31, 2025
