The Inspiration Used for the Creation of the Flying Ship Was a Soviet Technology and the Flying Ship Company Promises to Reduce Logistics Costs in Maritime Cargo Transport, Minimize CO2 Emissions, and Make Product Movement More Efficient.

Seeking to Bring Innovation and Technology to the Maritime Cargo Transport Sector, the Flying Ship Company Is Developing a Project to Create a Flying Ship. The Vessel Will Feature Soviet-Inspired Technology and Could Bring a Series of Benefits to Maritime Cargo Transport, Such as More Sustainability, Efficiency, and a Significant Reduction in Costs, Being the Company’s Bet for the Future of the Segment.

Flying Ship Is the New Bet of the Flying Ship Company to Improve the Logistics of Maritime Cargo Transport and Ensure More Efficiency in Processes

Currently Based in Virginia, United States, the Flying Ship Company Is Making Its New Bet for the International Maritime Cargo Transport Sector with Its Flying Ship. The Vehicle Utilizes Soviet-Inspired Technology from the Ekranoplan, Which Takes Advantage of the Aerodynamic Principle Known as the “Ground Effect” to Fly Over Water, and Aims to Make Logistics in This Segment More Efficient.

The Company Plans to Utilize Classic Works from the 1990s of the Soviets to Apply in Advanced Technology for the Development of the Vehicle Known as the Flying Ship. Furthermore, the Company Promises on Its Website That the Vehicle Will Be a Faster and More Economical Alternative for Maritime Cargo Transport Activities Around the World, Ensuring Up to 10 Times More Speed in Activities.

Additionally, the Flying Ship Company Announced the Project in a YouTube Video, Which Has Already Garnered Over 1 Million Views, Highlighting Some of the Main Features of the Flying Ship for the Maritime Cargo Transport Sector, Stating That, “These Pending Patent Flying Ships Will Revolutionize the Global Logistics Sector with the Combination of Hybrid Electric Propulsion and 21st Century Aerodynamics. The Integration of These Concepts Drastically Reduces the Vehicle’s Cost, Improves Fuel Efficiency, and Reduces CO2 Emissions.”

Learn More About the Operation of the New Project by the Flying Ship Company to Improve Maritime Logistics, the Flying Ship

The Soviet Technology Used in the Development of the Flying Ship Reduces Drag and Uses the Downwash from the Wings to Create an Air Cushion Below Them, Creating the Effect of Levitation Over Water. This Technology Actually Contributes to Cargo Transport Logistics and Reduces Energy Consumption by 30% to 50% in Navigation Compared to Other Vehicle Models for Goods Transport.

Moreover, the Flying Ship Company Intends to Adopt Even More Technology for the Segment’s Logistics and Designs the Flying Ship to Operate Without a Crew. However, Initial Phases Will Still Involve Human Assistance for Operating the Vessel, But It Will Have a Total Length of Ten Meters for Operation in Maritime Infrastructure, Using Structures Such as Marinas, Beaches, and Ramps for Boats Already in Operation.

Finally, the Company Noted That the Flying Ship Will Also Have a Range of 500 Nautical Miles (926 km) Per Load, and Each Unit Can Transport 1,200 kg of Cargo.

Thus, the Flying Ship Company Seeks to Make the Entire Logistics Chain of Movement and Commercialization of Products via Maritime Transport More Technological, Efficient, and Most Importantly, Sustainable in the International Scenario.
