Training in School Management in Macaé
Initially, Foresea promoted collaborative meetings to create the competency matrix for school management in Macaé. Four priority competencies were identified: self-care, team management, time management, and pedagogical management. After this definition, intensive workshops began to develop these competencies with the managers of the municipal schools. This effort directly benefited local education, contributing to more efficient and effective school management.
Regarding the initiatives focused on the Green Economy, the first semester concentrated on training agents from the recycling production chain. Among these agents, MacaEco – Cooperative for Collection and Recycling Work of Macaé – stood out, having been supported by Foresea with the donation of 108 personal protective equipment (PPE) and seven bicycle-drawn carts adapted for the collection and transport of waste. This support was essential for improving the working conditions of collectors and increasing the efficiency of selective waste collection in the city.
Training and Equipment for Recycling
Additionally, 32 recycling professionals from the city received training and certification between January and July. ‘We are very satisfied with this first cycle of the project. It’s great to see that our management experience is being useful for improvements in the city and bringing benefits to the people of Macaé. And this is just the beginning’, says Marco Aurélio Fonseca, Vice President of Sustainability at Foresea. The company is committed to creating a legacy of positive and sustainable impact in the communities where it operates.
The Foresea Socio-Environmental program has the active and voluntary participation of the corporation’s employees. They collected personal hygiene items for the Centro Pop, which specializes in assisting homeless individuals, and collected recyclable waste for the Ecoponto Onda Verde, a project that aims to correctly dispose of the collected material, allowing it to return to the production chain through recycling. These actions demonstrate the company’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
Voluntary Engagement and Social Impact
The volunteers, encouraged by Foresea, also involved their families in entertainment activities for children and young people at CEMAIA, a shelter for children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability. These activities provided moments of joy and learning for the youth, strengthening the sense of community and solidarity.
Jocelina Valle, Sustainability Coordinator at Foresea, announced that the training of school managers will continue in the second semester, ‘addressing the priority competencies and bringing new content to enhance the professionals’ performance in the municipal schools’. Additionally, other relationship actions and the distribution of materials for entrepreneurs in the collection and recycling sector are also planned. Foresea aims to maintain its ongoing commitment to Integral Education and the Green Economy, always aiming for a positive impact on society.
There will also be new relationship actions and the distribution of materials for entrepreneurs in the collection and recycling sector. Watch the video about the program at the link https://youtu.be/8ngjqvui-CE.
