The unit is part of a robust program from the Libra Block, aiming to define the best development strategy for the area. Furthermore, the Libra Consortium client, with Petrobras as the operator, is conducting Long-Duration Tests and Early Production Systems, collecting essential data for understanding the reservoir.

Since the beginning of its production, the FPSO Pioneiro de Libra is estimated to have generated over 2,000 direct and indirect jobs, onshore and offshore.
