After The Exemption Of IPVA For App Drivers Using CNG, MT Governor Claims That The Bolivia Pipeline Project Could Lower Gas Prices And Sell To Low-Income Families
According to the MT governor, Mauro Mendes, the extension project of the Bolivia pipeline is expected to reach near the Atacadão in the Tijucal neighborhood, in Cuiabá, and will bring a reduction in CNG prices for local residents. Additionally, through the installation of the Bolivia pipeline, doors could open for other possibilities such as social gas, for the bottling of cooking gas and selling CNG at popular prices to low-income families.

Governor Discusses Bolivia Pipeline Project
According to Mauro, the Bolivia pipeline project is ready and should go to bidding. On Wednesday (11), Mauro stated that the MT government has already contracted the project, the company has delivered it, and is preparing the bidding phase to hire and install the network, not only to the district but extending to the Atacadão in Tijucal.
According to the governor, what will allow for cheaper CNG for low-income families is the elimination of the compression and decompression process, which makes it even more expensive. Currently, CNG is already much cheaper than any other fuel source.

MT Government Invests R$ 13 Million In Pipeline

According to Mauro, MT Gás is conducting studies; however, there is nothing concrete yet, only possibilities. The MT government, according to the governor, has closed a ten-year contract for CNG supply.
The authority has established a commercial relationship that the state has never managed to create, a firm contract, and from now on will move towards other possibilities, but these are still studies being developed within MT Gás.
ALMT Approves IPVA Exemption For CNG-Powered App Drivers’ Cars
In addition to the possibility of lower CNG prices for low-income families, on the 11th of this month, the Mato Grosso Legislative Assembly unanimously approved the bill authored by state deputy Wilson Santos (PSDB) that authorizes the governor to grant IPVA exemption to vehicles with MT plates powered by CNG owned by app drivers or their spouses.
Deputy Wilson Santos highlighted the advantages of using vehicular natural gas, which, besides being a clean energy source, noted that in the current economic crisis, where ethanol and gasoline prices are constantly being adjusted, the IPVA exemption for app drivers using CNG is a social achievement.
