General Motors (GM), an American multinational engaged in automotive manufacturing, announced on this Thursday (03) the opening of a new selection process with various job openings. In addition to permanent positions, the company also offers entry-level positions in its internship program.

For its job openings, General Motors is looking for professionals in the states of Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo. For the permanent positions, the company seeks qualified candidates with experience to continue delivering the best products and services, check below for other details:

• Production Operator;
• Internship in Regional Sales | Porto Alegre, RS (Women Only);
• Regional Quality System Engineer;
• Assistant Quality Program Manager;
• Programmer/Data Analyst Sr.

For the position of Production Operator, GM requires a completed high school education, and approved candidates must provide proof of their vaccination status.

For the position of Regional Quality System Engineer, a completed higher education in Engineering is required, along with Intermediate Spanish (desirable), advanced English, experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably in quality, Office Suite skills, and knowledge in Power BI or data analysis systems, as well as knowledge in production systems and headcount calculations.

Finally, for the position of Assistant Quality Program Manager, General Motors requires knowledge of the automotive industry, a high-level understanding of the product, quality, market trends, manufacturing, and problem-solving methods, among others.

Lastly, for job openings as Programmer or Data Analyst Sr, a completed degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, skills in database modeling, management, and mining, along with knowledge in statistical analysis will be an advantage.

Requirements Set by General Motors for Its 2023 Internship Program

For the entry-level internship positions, GM is looking for students from Bachelor’s and Technology courses in areas such as Environmental, Engineering, Communication, Human Resources, and Manufacturing. The following courses are accepted:

• Engineering (Environmental, Control and Automation, Instrumentation and Robotics, Electrical, Materials, Production, Mechanical, Chemical);
• International Relations;
• Communications and Journalism;
• Logistics;
• Psychology;
• Marketing;
• Business Management;
• Business Administration;
• Public Relations;
• Human Resources.

For entry-level positions, it is also necessary to be regularly enrolled and with graduation expected between December 2024 and December 2025, desirable knowledge in Power BI, intermediate to advanced English skills, availability to intern for 6 hours in Gravataí, and the ability to interact with various areas and individuals at different levels within the company.

The selection process includes a digital interview, group dynamics, feedback, a final interview with the manager, and hiring. Those approved for the entry-level positions at GM will receive a transportation allowance of R$ 249, on-site dining, outpatient assistance, group life insurance, partnership with GymPass, discounts on brand vehicles, along with a scholarship of R$ 1,600.80 in the penultimate year and R$ 1,900 for the final year.
