Students From All Over Brazil Can Apply for Opportunities With Accelerated Professional Development

Gerdau, a global reference in steel production, launched in 2025 yet another edition of the G.Start internship program, with 232 openings for university students from different regions of Brazil.

The selection process, which began in early June, reinforces the company’s commitment to the technical and behavioral training of new talents. All this in an environment of continuous learning and direct leadership supervision.

G.Start Program Combines Practice and Mentoring With a Focus on Professional Development

The G.Start program was designed to offer a growth journey based on practice. This allows students to develop essential technical and behavioral skills for the job market.

In this way, the program has a structured path that encourages ownership, learning from experienced leaders, and experiencing real projects of the company. Additionally, interns will receive constant feedback and participate in strategic initiatives of the organization.

Since the beginning of June 2025, Gerdau has been anticipating the launch of this new edition. Now, with the official schedule defined, students from all regions of Brazil have until June 22, 2025, to apply and compete for the opportunities.

The proposition is clear: accelerate careers with responsibility, education, and commitment to the future.

In-Person Internship With Reduced Hours and Possible Extension for Up to Two Years

To participate in the selection process, it is necessary to be enrolled in higher education in bachelor’s, technological, or teaching degrees with an expected completion date between June 2026 and June 2029.

Furthermore, it is essential to be available to work in person for six hours a day. The initial contract is for one year, and there is a possibility of renewal for up to two years.

Consequently, interested candidates must assess the feasibility of working at Gerdau units that are offering openings. This reinforces the importance of planning.

According to the company, initiatives focused on developing digital skills, such as Power BI courses and other data analysis tools, can serve as relevant competitive differentiators.

Open Positions Available in More Than 40 Cities Across All Regions of the Country

The 232 positions are distributed across various locations, reinforcing Gerdau’s national reach. There are opportunities in cities such as Maceió (AL), Salvador (BA), Brasília (DF), Goiânia (GO), Contagem (MG), Três Marias (MG), Cuiabá (MT), Caruaru (PE), Araucária (PR), Caxias do Sul (RS), Porto Alegre (RS), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Florianópolis (SC), Araçatuba (SP), Guarulhos (SP), Ribeirão Preto (SP), São Paulo (SP), among others.

Consequently, the program covers strategic urban centers and industrial hubs in different regions. The presence in municipalities such as Joinville (SC), Simões Filho (BA), Sinop (MT), and Panambi (RS) shows the company’s reach.

Additionally, this reinforces its commitment to regional development and the formation of a qualified workforce.

Applications Open Until June 22 and Selection Process Seeks Diversity and Ownership

Applications can be submitted until June 22, 2025, as informed by the company’s press office. The selection prioritizes diversity, inclusion, and ownership.

The focus is on candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn, an interest in innovation, and the ability to work in a team. According to an official statement, G.Start reinforces Gerdau’s goal of preparing future professionals in a dynamic, collaborative environment aligned with the demands of the industrial sector.

In this way, students have the chance to integrate into one of the largest companies in the steel sector. They will actively participate in real projects and receive mentorship from experienced professionals.

The Gerdau continues to strengthen its strategy for sustainable growth and talent development on a national scale.
