The Young Apprentice program from Gerdau is inclusive and prioritizes hiring women, self-declared Black and mixed-race individuals, and people with disabilities. The course is structured in a development path aimed at training professionals in the area of steelmaking.

Classes And Practical Experience – Gerdau And Senai
The theoretical and practical classes of the free course will be held at the Gerdau industrial unit in Charqueadas. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to work directly in the operational areas of the plant, such as Steelmaking, Rolling, Mechanical Transformation, and Logistics. At the end of the course, participants will receive a certification issued by Senai.
Participants of the Young Apprentice program from Gerdau will receive a scholarship and various benefits, including health insurance, free virtual medical assistance through the Einstein Conecta program, transportation or shuttle allowance, on-site parking, bike parking, maternity support program, and paternity leave.

Those interested must reside in Charqueadas or the surrounding area, be between 17 and 22 years old, be currently enrolled in or have completed high school, and be available to attend classes in a hybrid format during the morning and afternoon.
