About Caterpillar

Caterpillar’s business in Brazil began in 1954, with a warehouse for the marketing, manufacturing, and storage of parts and components. In 1955, Caterpillar Inc. made its second investment outside the United States, purchasing an area of 164,000 m² in the city of São Paulo and installing its factory there, which began production in 1960. The multinational also has a unit in the interior of São Paulo, in the city of Piracicaba, inaugurated in 1976, and another in Campo Largo, Paraná (São Paulo metropolitan region), inaugurated in 2010.
