Digital Frauds Are Again Using the Name of PIS/Pasep to Deceive Workers and Heirs with Promises of Immediate Withdrawals and False Charges, but the Government Reinforces That the Consultation Must Be Made Only on REPIS Cidadão and at Caixa.

The return of fraudulent pages promising “immediate release of PIS/Pasep quotas” has mainly targeted those who worked with a signed carteira (work permit) between 1971 and 1988 and heirs of deceased holders.

The scammers replicate public portals visually, ask for personal data, and in some cases, charge “fees” via Pix for supposed validation.

The government advises that the verification should be done only through official channels, with consultation at REPIS Cidadão and payment through Caixa Econômica Federal, without intermediaries and without charging fees.

REPIS Concentrates the Official Consultation

While fake pages try to benefit from the legitimate interest in reimbursement, the Ministry of Finance maintains REPIS Cidadão as the unique environment for verification and request.

The service was designed to inform, step by step, if there are amounts to be redeemed and what documents are necessary for direct withdrawal, without third parties.

The authentication occurs on Gov.br, which reduces the risk of improper exposure of sensitive information.

Caixa Confirms Who Is Entitled

Caixa confirms that the reimbursement of quotas from the old fund is due to workers in the private sector and public employees covered from 1971 to 1988 who have not yet withdrawn the money.

Service takes place through the bank’s channels and in branches, with the possibility of integrated processing with REPIS.

There are no charges for “release fees” or “processing fees” for the payment to be made.

Government communication agencies have already debunked pages that use the Caixa brand to offer “instant withdrawals,” reinforcing that such promises are not official.

Scammers Expand Digital Attacks

Besides the visual redesign of public portals, the frauds rely on mass messages that simulate consultation results and pressure for the sending of documents outside of official systems.

In many cases, victims receive requests to transfer amounts via Pix as a supposed requirement to “validate” the right, an argument nonexistent in governmental routines.

It is also warned that there is no “tax on Pix” for services of this type; charges linked to benefits through payment applications are a recurring sign of fraud.

Common Strategies of Fraudsters

As the scammers operate, the objective is always the same: to collect personal data, capture passwords, or provoke unauthorized transfers.

To do this, they clone pages, buy ads, and use variations of addresses that resemble official domains, leading users to parallel forms.

When traffic increases in searches for “PIS/Pasep released,” new temporary pages often appear, copying government brands and publishing generic testimonials from supposed beneficiaries.

Seven Signs of a Fake Site About PIS/Pasep

  1. Requirement for upfront payment, “release fee” or charge via Pix in the name of public agencies.
  2. Addresses outside government domains, with swapped letters or attempts to imitate “gov.br”.
  3. False deadlines or threats of CPF blockage to induce quick decisions.
  4. Forms that collect sensitive data outside Gov.br, such as selfies with documents.
  5. Improper use of coats of arms and official brands on pages with error and without accessibility.
  6. Vague proofs and testimonials, without case number or official protocol.
  7. Successive redirects coming from ads or social networks to payment pages.

Public agencies reinforce that no official service charges to release rights.

How to Consult Safely

For those who are entitled, the safe path begins with confirmation on REPIS Cidadão.

The platform informs if there is linked balance to the CPF of the holder or of a deceased person and guides about the required documents.

In cases of inventory or succession, the system presents which proofs are accepted to instruct the request, with specific guidance for heirs.

As soon as the consultation indicates amounts, the next procedure involves Caixa, responsible for payments, which can occur via account credit or according to the bank’s updated instructions.

The recommendation is to prioritize access with authentication on Gov.br and follow the steps displayed after confirmation of data.

Adjustments in Case of Registration Divergence

When “data pending” or registration divergences arise, the official guidance is to regularize the information through INSS channels.

The service “Update registration and/or benefit,” available on Meu INSS and supported by phone 135, corrects inconsistencies in CNIS that often block analyses, such as name, birth date, or number discrepancies.

Messages received through social networks promising “quick consultation” without authentication should be ignored, especially when requesting CPF as the first step outside the governmental environment.

Frauds Also Affect Other Benefits

Fraud attempts are not limited to PIS/Pasep.

Class entities and media outlets report similar cases involving other social and labor benefits.

In general, the dynamic repeats the same script: ephemeral pages, designs that imitate official communication, buying ads to capture searches related to withdrawals and demanding fixed amounts disguised as “administrative fees.”

In times of higher demand for digital services, these waves of fraud reemerge with strength, taking advantage of misinformation and the urgency of those seeking a right.

Legitimate Procedure

Despite the noise produced by false campaigns, the legitimate procedure is transparent. The consultation occurs at REPIS Cidadão, with secure authentication.

Once the existence of balance is confirmed, Caixa executes the payment according to current rules.

There is no third-party intermediation or condition to “release” the credit through Pix.

In cases of doubt, in-person service at branches and official call centers remains the appropriate channel to check steps, deadlines, and documents.

The final recommendation is simple: always check the accessed domain, prioritize the login on Gov.br, refuse payment requests and be wary of promises of immediate credit.

Even as scammers change their approach, the signs remain visible to those who observe carefully.

Have you checked if the address you intend to use ends in “gov.br” and if anyone tried to charge any “fee” to release your right?
