Government Announces Opening of 2,821 Positions in Public Competition for the Military Police of Minas Gerais

The Government of Minas Gerais Announced the Opening of the Public Competition of the Military Police, Which Has 2,821 Open Vacancies for CFO and CFSd with Opportunities for Men and Women.

The Government of Minas Gerais, through the Military Police of Minas Gerais (PMMG) published last Friday (30) the announcement for a new Public Competition, which aims to fill 2,821 vacancies in the Officer Training Course (CFO) and for the Soldier Training Course (CFSd) for this year. The vacancies will be directed to the BH/RMBH regions, considering the municipalities belonging to the 1st to 19th RPM, with 2,538 vacancies for men and 283 for women.

Requirements for Participation in the Military Police Public Competition

Among the requirements set by the Military Police in its Public Competition in Minas Gerais are: being Brazilian, being up to date with military and electoral obligations, having a higher education level, being between 18 and 30 years old, holding a driver’s license, at least in category B, having a minimum height of 1.60 m and physical fitness.

The training course is expected to last about 9 months, full-time, with an exclusive dedication regime and extracurricular school activities after 6 PM, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, which may be subject to changes depending on public interest and administrative convenience.

The starting basic salary for a second-class Soldier is currently R$ 4,360.83. The academic workload for this officer will be defined according to the Education Guidelines of the Military Police (DEPM), by the EFSd and APM Regulations, as well as by the respective curriculum matrix. After graduation, the weekly workload will be 40 hours.

Public Competition Registrations Can Be Made Online

Those interested in registering can do so only online, through the PM-MG website, from March 1st to 30th of this year. The registration fee is R$ 101. There is also the possibility to request a waiver of the fee from March 1st to 2nd.

The selection process will take place through an objective test, which will include content such as Portuguese language, logical-mathematical reasoning, literature and notions of English language, law and human rights.

The testing phase is expected to be held in the municipalities of Belo Horizonte, Uberaba, Juiz de Fora, Divinópolis, Uberlândia, Governador Valadares, Patos de Minas, Ipatinga, Montes Claros, Curvelo, Unaí, Barbacena, Pouso Alegre, Sete Lagoas and Poços de Caldas, on the likely date of May 7th of this year.

In addition, candidates interested in the Military Police public competition in Minas Gerais will also undergo psychological evaluations and health exams, military physical assessment (AFM), only for those classified and not eliminated in the previous phase. The process will be valid for two months, and can be extended only once for the same period, counted from the date of the result’s homologation.

One of the main benefits is job security, as this professional can only be dismissed from their position in case of an administrative process being opened, proving an infraction incompatible with the profession.

Furthermore, there is guaranteed stability after the probationary period. Soldiers will be responsible for carrying out the constitutional mission of conducting visible policing and activities of maintaining public order, involving the immediate repression of criminal and administrative infractions, as well as the enforcement of the law, always prioritizing the defense of life.
