State Government Advances Infrastructure With BNDES Investment Aiming at Economic Development and Regional Integration
Mato Grosso do Sul is about to undergo a revolution in its road infrastructure. With a R$ 2.6 billion investment, from the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), and a state counterpart of R$ 300 million, the State Government initiates an ambitious road modernization project, according to the Nova News website.
Governor Eduardo Riedel highlighted the importance of the investment:
“Mato Grosso do Sul is going through an important growth moment, which brings good prospects for us. This resource from BNDES is of vital importance, allowing us to continue investing consistently in the infrastructure and logistics of the State, which guarantees the interest and possibility of attracting more private capital, with a competitive economy, in full growth.”
Paving and Restoration Works
The State Government’s project encompasses the transformation of 800 kilometers of state roads, with 660 kilometers designated for paving and 170 kilometers for restoration and adaptation. This effort aims not only to improve the road network, but also to promote economic development and regional integration.
