IT Mídia announced on Wednesday (24), during the IT Forum: The Great Meeting, the winners of the 21st edition of the award. Among the 100+ Innovators in the Use of Information Technology – IT in 2021, the Acotubo Group stood out thanks to its platform. The ceremony, held at Casa das Caldeiras in São Paulo (SP), awarded the best innovation projects from companies in 21 categories, in addition to a special category recognizing efforts in education. Sem Parar, from the Fleetcor group, with its Sem Parar Pay project, emerged as the grand winner, leading the ranking of 100+. The list of all 100 awarded companies was released on November 12 and can be seen here. It recognizes projects that generated positive impacts on businesses, revealing the state of digital transformation in Brazilian organizations according to the sector in which they operate.
About the Awarded Companies During the Innovative Technology Event
The traditional award held by IT Mídia in partnership with PwC has gathered and evaluated TI projects that have impacted Brazilian companies for 20 years.

As one of the 100 most innovative companies in the IT sector in Brazil, the Acotubo Group placed second in the “Steel, Metallurgy and Mining” category and to conclude the event, the company also managed to achieve 79th place in the overall ranking of the “100+ Innovators in the Use of IT” award, for the development of the platform, a tool created by the IT team of Acotubo at the beginning of the pandemic to optimize performance and improve the relationship of the sales team with its clients during remote work.
The tool called SIGA360+, developed by Acotubo, aims to facilitate the prospecting of new businesses, gathering – in real time – important information that assists the sales team, enabling personalized and high-quality service.
“With SIGA360+, our team can manage the operation, track all activities, record service, scheduling, and negotiations, manage salespeople, supervisors, and much more,” explains Valdemir Raymundo, Technology Manager of the Group, who led the project.
Grupo Açotubo is Investing About R$ 5 Million in a New Technology that Will Expand the Production of Its Factories
The Acotubo Group will invest R$ 5 million in the purchase of automatic band saw and disc cutting machines. Therefore, the Acotubo Group is planning to expand and increase the cutting capacity of its branches, especially at the group’s headquarters.
With high series cutting capability, the new technology used in the machinery will give the group a competitive advantage over its competitors in the steel sector. In addition to this initial investment, there is still a forecast of more R$ 8 million for the purchase of handling and cutting machines, which is currently pending approval from the council.
