IT Mídia announced this Wednesday (24th), during the IT Forum: O Grande Encontro, the winners of the 21st edition of the award. Among the 100+ Innovators in the Use of Information Technology – IT of 2021, the Açotubo Group gained prominence thanks to its platform. The ceremony, held at Casa das Caldeiras, in São Paulo (SP), awarded the best innovation projects by companies in 21 categories, in addition to a special category that recognizes efforts in the field of education. Sem Parar, from the Fleetcor group, with the Sem Parar Pay project, was the big winner, leading the ranking of the 100+. The list of all 100 award-winning companies was released on November 12 and can be seen here. It recognizes projects that have generated positive impacts on business, revealing the state of digital transformation in Brazilian organizations according to the sector in which they operate.

About the winners during the event of innovative companies in Information Technology
The traditional award held by IT Mídia in partnership with PwC has gathered and evaluated IT projects that have impacted the business of Brazilian companies for 20 years.
The award received 255 submissions in 2021. The most innovative were chosen by a committee of market experts and journalists from IT Mídia. As one of the 100 most innovative companies in the IT sector in Brazil, the Açotubo Group won second place in the “steel, metallurgy and mining” category, and to end the event the company even managed to win 79th place in the general ranking of the “100 + Innovative in the Use of IT", for the development of the platform, a tool created by the Açotubo IT team at the beginning of the pandemic to optimize performance and improve the relationship between the sales team and its customers during remote work.
The tool called SIGA360+, which was developed by Açotubo, aims to facilitate the prospecting of new business, collecting – in real time – important information that helps the sales team, enabling a personalized and high quality service.
“With SIGA360+, our team is able to manage the operation, monitor all activities, register calls, schedules and negotiations, manage salespeople, supervisors and much more”, explains Valdemir Raymundo, Group Technology Manager, who was ahead of the project.
Grupo Açotubo is investing around BRL 5 million in a new technology that will expand the production of its factories
The Açotubo Group will make an investment of R$ 5 million for the purchase of automatic band saw and disk cutting machines. Therefore, the Açotubo Group plans to expand and increase the cutting capacity of branches and mainly of the group's main headquarters.
With the high capacity of series cuts, the new technology used in the machinery will bring the group a competitive advantage in relation to its competitors in the steel sector. In addition to this initial investment, there is still a forecast of another R$ 8 million for the purchase of moving and cutting machines, which is in the process of being approved by the board.
